R290, Chinese name propane, English name propane, chemical formula C3H8. R290 is a hydrocarbon refrigerant - it has no damage to the ozone layer and has a very small greenhouse effect. It is mainly used to replace R22 and R502 refrigerants in low-temperature refrigeration equipment; because R290 is flammable, it is usually only used in low-temperature refrigeration equipment with a small amount of liquid, or as a component of low-temperature mixed refrigerants; R290 is compatible with traditional lubricants.

R-290 is mainly used in central air conditioners, heat pump air conditioners, household air conditioners and other small refrigeration equipment.

Refrigerant cylinders are pressurized containers and should be stored away from fire and heat sources and avoid direct sunlight. They are usually stored in a cool, dry and ventilated warehouse.They should be loaded and unloaded gently during transportation to prevent damage to the cylinders and accessories such as valves.

R-290 is the most environmentally friendly refrigerant available today. From an environmental protection perspective, almost all countries have no restrictions on the initial installation of R290 refrigerant on new refrigeration equipment or its use during after-sales maintenance.
