Since R-404A is an HFC type non-azeotropic environmentally friendly refrigerant (completely free of CFC and HCFC that damage the ozone layer), it is currently recognized and recommended by most countries as a mainstream low-temperature environmentally friendly refrigerant, and is widely used in the initial installation of new refrigeration equipment and recharge during maintenance. It complies with the standards of the US environmental protection organizations EPA, SNAP and UL, and meets the A1 safety level category of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) (this is the highest level and is harmless to the human body).

R-404A is a widely used medium and low temperature refrigerant today. It is often used in cold storage, food freezing equipment, marine refrigeration equipment, industrial low temperature refrigeration, commercial low temperature refrigeration, transportation refrigeration equipment (refrigerated trucks, etc.), refrigeration condensing units, supermarket display cabinets and other refrigeration equipment.

Refrigerant cylinders are pressurized containers and should be stored away from fire and heat sources and avoid direct sunlight. They are usually stored in a cool, dry and ventilated warehouse.They should be loaded and unloaded gently during transportation to prevent damage to the cylinders and accessories such as valves.

R404A refrigerant has become the preferred refrigerant in commercial and industrial refrigeration due to its environmental performance, high refrigeration efficiency, suitability for low temperature condition and wide range of applications.
